Hello fellow couponing ladies! Thanks again for visiting ExtremeJerseyCoupons to learn about our couponing exploits!
So Pam and I hit Target last night after the gym and I made a small haul. Let me just say, couponing is great exercise, we ended up walking for another hour at Target! :)
The only item missing from the picture is a Secret deodorant that I gifted to Pam. She normally pays $5.99 for this particular deodorant but thanks to coupons, she got it for....$.40!
So a lengthy breakdown of the transactions that I made.
My first transaction was for the 2-8packs of Puffs Tissues. They were on sale for $8.99. Buy 2 and receive a $5.00 giftcard. There was a 5% off Target Cartwheel, 2 Target Store Coupons that took off $.50 per package and I also used 2 manufacturer coupons for an additional $.20 off. I paid $15.63 OOP and received a $5.00 giftcard. In this same transaction, I also purchased 5 Dinty Moore meals. With these meals, I had 2 coupons for $1.00 off of 2 beef meals and also a 30%off Target cartwheel. So I paid $6.02 and since I purchased 5 of them, I once again received a $5.00 giftcard.
In my second transaction, I purchased 1 package of Bic mechanical pencils for $.99 and 1 package of Bic pens for $.99. I used a Target coupon for $1.00 off 2 Bic pen packs and I also used a manufacturer's coupon for $1.00 off 2 Bic pen packs, so they came out to be free with a $0.02 overage.
There was also a great Suave deal. Target had a store coupon for $3.00 of a $10.00 Suave purchase. Many of the Suave shampoos and conditioners were on sale but I was stockpiling for a friend of mine that lives in India but comes to work in the US every few months. He likes to bring goodies back for his family but is on a limited budget so I do my best to help him save. I purchased 4 of the Suave Kids Shampoos, 1 Suave Naturals Shampoo and 1 Suave Professional Dry Shampoo. I first used the $3.00 off $10.00 coupon. Suave coupons usually only allow 2 like coupons per transaction so I had 2 manufacturer coupons that I clipped that took $1.00 off per item and I also used 2 manufacturer coupons that I had printed off line. Then I used a $1.50 coupon for Suave Professionals and a $.50 off coupon for the Suave Naturals. It came out to $.84 for all 6 items!
The deodorant deal was buy 3, receive a $5.00 giftcard. I also used 3 $1.00 off coupons on the deodorants. Pam's deodorant was the priciest at $3.99 and the other 2 were $2.69. My total after tax was $9.72 for everything, (I also got a .99 baby card) which I paid off using the 2 $5.00 giftcards from my first purchase. I was left with $.28!
Lastly, for my third transaction, I had to head over to customer service. I have a party that I'm going to for a friend on Friday and I decided to get a boardgame called Hedbanz for Adults. I looked everywhere and the cheapest price I could find was $4.98 but it was only available online at Target. I called the store and asked them if they price matched their website. They said yes they do (not all Targets do this so YMMV, Your Mileage May Vary) and so they put the last game they had available on hold for me with a note that said they were matching the online price. When I got to customer service, they rang the game up and it came out to $19.99 plus tax! They then adjusted the price down to $4.98 plus tax and it came out to $5.32. I gave them the $5.00 giftcard I had from my previous transaction and the giftcard that had $.28 left on it. I then fished a nickel out of my purse.
Total for absolutely everything?
$22.08 out of pocket. Total Savings: $54.71
I love Target! Oh and coupons too!
